Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do you launch your books with Kickstarter?
A: Long story short, I’m not willing to compromise.
I want you, the reader, to receive exactly what I aim to write: stories about love conquering a divided world. This is something that major publishing houses posed a hurdle to.
I have a vision for each book from cover to cover, and handing over control to anyone else gives me immense trepidation. I want to hand-pick the people behind my books. I want to ensure that every word edited and every illustration drawn is done by human hands, fueled by a passion for their craft.
In conjunction with Plumage Publishing and Kickstarter, I am able to accomplish these aims. But I couldn’t have done it without your support! Your support of the Season of Souls romantasy quartet injects funds right back into the indie community, be it character art, cover art, editors, proofreaders, indie content promoters, and more. You are the lifeblood of this ecosystem! Thank you!
Q: I found a typo in one of your books! What do I do?
A: Thank you for your eagle eyes! Please submit a contact form containing the page number and sentence the error is in.
Q: Do you use AI in any of your works?
A: *Squawk* Never. Every word from cover to cover has been written by these fingers (er, wings). No AI art is utilized either.
Q: Who designed the covers for the Season of Souls series?
A: The illustrations and art nouveau frames are by Lis Witalis (@Nordbold) on Instagram. Typography is by https://www.books-amphi.studio/.
Q: Who drew the chapter ornaments for the Season of Souls series?
A: The amazing and talented https://www.books-amphi.studio/!
Q: What is Plumage Publishing?
A: Plumage Publishing is a trademark of my publishing LLC, which was established to aid in maintaining my privacy and to provide a singular entity for my "bookish" business.
